This is a very good small stove, needs at least 15 ft flue to draw well, but if you leave door open 1/2 - 1" to get fire started it does quite well. I use this stove in my shop. I use an Englander 50-SNC13 in the house, which is $200 more, however, larger and a better stove over all.

the air inlet damper should have been installed at the bottom of the firebox it will not burn properly for approx 1/2 hour you have to keep the door open instead of air damper mounted at top of stove too hard to light fire

I have approximately a 900 sq ft home and this stove heats it very well. As is expected, the door has to be left open about an inch to get the fire going. After a good bed of coals is established, a small log (about 3" around) will maintain a good burn temp and the damper can be cut back. This stove is pretty efficient. I have only used it for 2 months now, but at its current rate, a cord should last 1- 1 1/2 winters. The glass stays reasonably clean. I did cut a hole in the floor and installed a floor register a few feet from the stove to ensure a ready supply of fresh air. The only down side is the lack of an ash pan, but its not that bad to clean. I would recommend this stove to anyone looking for an economical heating solution for a small home or area.
