Comments about JB WELD Kwikwood® Epoxy Stick (8257):
I had to move my door strike plate up on the frame about 1/2 inch after I straightened out the frame (due to building settlement). I had to fill in part of the original hole for the latch, as well as the original screw holes. And since it's winter, I needed to do it all quite quickly! This epoxy was easy to mix and use, set up within the hour it said, and adhered perfectly to the original woodwork. I was was easily able to properly shape the hole by using a rotary tool, but the new "wood" was solid, and drilling new screw holes was straightforward. I'd tried similar repairs previously with all sort of other products, but this is the only one that worked as well as I had hoped. I'll definitely use it again.
