This is the BEST, most reliable food I have found for a wide variety of songbirds. I use this in patio trays for birds that like to eat on the ground, like finches, sparrows, and chickadees like the FRESH peanuts in it. I have purchased food from Wild Birds Unlimited, and the birds refused it. It smelled rancid. I purchased Sunflower chips and peanut bits, mixed, from Duncraft, and the birds refused it. It smelled rancid. Other than raw, hulled sunflower hearts that I buy from Whole Foods for the birds, this Scotts Songbird No Mess Patio Blend is the only one reliable, fresh, GREAT value I've found.
