I am a 77 year old senior and installed the diverter in about 2 hours. I installed it on a rectangler tank holding 175 gallons of water. First time it rained after the install it was a overnight hard rain. The next morning the tank was full and the rain was then going down the gutter.
I did pay close attention to leveling the water hose from the diverter to the tank.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

All was fine with this unit and very satisfied, except on the outlet end where the downspot continues, the design has the downpout slip INSIDE, instead of outside the outlet. As downspouts are corrogated, there is not a "good seal" to insure water pours into the INSIDE of the downspout. This causes water to run on the outside of the downspout.
A simple fix was to caulk the downspout into the outlet.
A minor "redesign" would prevent that need if it had an extended lip inside to shingle the water INTO the downspout.
