This works fine next to my stove. The gap between stove and countertop was not very big, but if you had a big gap it probably wouldn't be wide enough. It's probably only a half inch wide or so. Its magnet holds well to the stove.

We have stainless appliances and granite countertops. We LOVE our kitchen, but were totally annoyed by the small gap between the stove and the counter. This solved the problem perfectly! We bought TWO of the black Stovetop Extenders (the 23" worked well) and just stuck them on, and haven't had a problem since. They blend so well with the black stove top that my husband didn't even notice them until I pointed them out. It was the perfect solution for us.

It blends in and gives the counter a more finished look. I plan to buy two more: one for the other side of the stove and when I have a new refrigerator put in. My new stove was placed a bit close to the counter on one side, so I was worried that this item wouldn't fit in the space, but it does. My current frig is too far from the counter for this item to bridge the gap, but it is due to be replaced soon, so I'll have them place it closer. This little item goes a long way toward helping to keep the kitchen cleaner.

I replaced my slide in electric top range for a new free standing gas range and the counter tops were exposed on either side of my new range. This product works perfectly for filling the gaps on either side.

The plastic gap fillers/extenders didn't work--they were easily bumped out of place when cleaning or wiping the area. The magnetic gap fillers/extenders are super! While they aren't a custom fit, they certainly fit adequately. And they stay in place! We had a difficult time finding them online, however. Almost gave up. Ace needs to advertise them or at least have them available in the stores, next to the lousy-fitting plastic ones!

The key word is extender not extenders. it only comes with one. So you do need to order 2 of them. Other then that the one that I got works good. I am ordering another one. I just wish they would give more details about it, saying it only comes with one of them.
