Used in basement with high water table. worked well for about a year but now it freezes and does not thaw auto defrost is not working. Tried to clean coils but it still does not work. Wrote to manuf. but have not heard anything back.

We are presently using the dehumidifier in our living space.
We keep our house cool during the winter. Having the dehumidifier takes away the damp chill and keeps the oil furnace working at a minimum on damp and cold days.

Condensation literally dripping off inside windows. In only a few hours the windows and sills were dry. I wasn't so congested and breathing easier. Have only used for month so don't know how long it will last but I certainly appreciate it now. Like the humidity gauge. This afternoon I turned it on while we were gone and it showed 68% and when we got home 4 hours later it was down to 48%.
Only problem is label on front says "drain joint placed on foot packing" and not sure what that means. But I don't intend to use continuous drain feature. If it's a part that came in box I must have thrown it away??
Employee at Ace uses one and that was good enough review for me. He recommended placing it on a rug or towel to make it quieter which we do. But use at night or while we're gone so whatever.

We bought the unit at our local Ace in the midst of one of the areas wettest summers and our first as homeonwers. It performed well until the unit began making high pitched noises and vibrating badly. Cleaning and troubleshooting did little. It was a good unit for 15 months but too expensive for a bit less than yearly purchase item.

This dehumidifier works great in our basement and is a nice slim size with a retractable handle on top of the unit. All dehumidifiers make noise, but this unit does not seem as loud as some others I have heard. I especially like that it is Energy Star rated, has rolling caster wheels, and the Water Bucket also has a convenient handle for easy dumping.

The water bucket needs dumping daily for us, but the size of the bucket makes it lightweight and easy to handle. Larger dehumidifiers are available if you need it to run longer between emptying, but I use the water to daily water our garden outside the basement door.

It does have the option for continuous draining to a floor drain or hose, but the hook-up looks more complicated than some other units. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this unit for the relative humidity settings and readout. It works very well and is very compact. I've had it for a year now and it works like the first day. It is not quite as noisy as one I have on the other half of the basement (a wall in between them), but the other one is larger. My one regret is not getting a larger one, not because I need more pints per day removed, but because the tank is too small. I am planning on getting the 50 pint model for the 10 liter tank, then setting this one 5 points higher to take over when the 50 is full.
I really like the front load tank, and that it always sits effectively, not like others I've had that sometimes don't sit well and end up leaking or overfilling.

Small and light. Easy to use.
Hooking up the automatic drain hose feature is difficult and is a very weak set up. I can only hope that it lasts.

I replaced a 9 year old unit that was very heavy, noisy and ate electric for lunch. This unit was purchased for energy savings. Easy to roll about, and to operate.

The pan could of been slightly larger but I'm comparing to an older unit.

For me the noise is very low. I love it and plan on buying another.

My house has a swamp cooler and I use this to remove the extra moisture. This is the best unit I found for the $.

plus/minus column...a larger capacity would require less maintenance (fewer emptying) but the larger capacity would be much heavier so...toss upnoisy, I guess but the fan speed can be lowered and the door to the basement can be closed...noise is not a personal complaintthe [...]so far 10 out of 10 positive rating from me

About every 24 hours we receive a 30 pints of water. Heavy duty machine works great. Water tank when full is very heavy. Only downside is the motor is loud.

This unit is extremely noisy. Even so, I was tempted to keep it, however, I can find amost no information about the mfr. Seems to be an import from China, with a very sketchy looking website for the importer in Florida. I don't feel comfortable holding onto it without better contact info. in case of breakdown. A warranty won't do me any good in that case. I'd rather buy from a known mfr. I will be returning this next week.
