Only lasted 2 years and the ballast burned out. Have a mercury vapor light before that lasted 16 years and this one failed after a litlle over 2 years.

This product is of poor quality and engineering. I purchased it and trusted Ace and for the summer it was good. I have spent 13 times the amount of money on parts and trips back to Ace Re: this light. I have an electrician coming today for the 4th time. This procuct should have been returned at the 1 yr mark when it failed.

We installed this light in our barnyard. It worked at first for about 1 week, then started acting up. Now it starts trying to come on at dusk but takes about 4-5 hours to actually come on and light area - by that time we no longer need the light!

Short bulb life compared to mercury vapor,Halide runs hotter. Puts out a better type light than older mercury but it's not worth extra bulb cost and maintenance changing bulbs.

This light can really light up or highlight your yard. It produces a pool of light directly underneath, but the perimeter light travels surprisingly far. I replaced a 175 watt Mercury Vapor light with this, and will admit it offers such superior color rendition the slight reduction in lumens is no issue. I really like this light. (Installed 24 feet high on a telephone pole in yard)
