It slowed down the barking of a middle aged dog, and eliminated it in the younger dog. It eats batteries, though--they last a week or two. Remember to turn it off if you're playing music or an instrument. I've been using it for about 6 months, and need to buy an AC adapter.

I thought this would be great for my 7 year old dog and my 8 month old puppy. Our puppy seems hear it and to respond a little to it but doesn't matter if she's on a barking rampage. My 7 year old...he doesn't seem to hear it. Even I can hear it alittle but his hearing must be bad...I didn't think of that problem. After a few weeks it quit working.
