Purchased product on November 23, 2012 at our local Ace Hardware store and began using it on December 1, 2012. Product has not kept time since I began using it. Over a 24 hour period it would lose 4 hours. I can't recommend this product. Since I kept my receipt and the box the power stake timer came in I will be returning the product today in hopes of getting my money back.

I laugh as I just bought my second one today because i thought my first unit from last year was defective because it will not keep time (off by hours each day even though i reset). Thought I would look at reviews before I use the second. It will go back tomorrow. I will continue to use the 6 prong outlet in the yard and get a different brand timer to plug the extension cord.

The cover on the timer is so flimsy that it doesn't even fully shut to keep out moisture. The attached cord is only 2 feet long, so unless you have unusally low outdoor outlets, you will have to connect this timer to another cord to plug into your outdoor outlet.

came to this site JUST to review this product which i picked up last weekend at Ace. WISH i had come here and read the reviews first...5 out of 5 reviewers ALL with the same review...this thing does NOT work. the timer is absolutely HORRIBLE loses at least 2 hours every day, rendering it completely useless. i even returned 1 and exchanged it for another in case id gotten a bad unit...the second one did the exact same thing...will be writting the woods company next...CAN'T believe Ace still sells a product this obviously defective and poor.

I have had to reset it every day since I put it up. I threw away the box assuming it would work... now I can't return it. I'm now using it just for the 6 outlets, set to stay on 24hrs and I have ANOTHER timer that actually works shutting it off. What a rip off.

It doesnt work. The clock mechanism is too weak to activate the ON or OFF pins. I have had to reset it every day or night. Its totally un-satisfactory. As stated by someone else, the time is way, way off every day. I will return it today or the day after christmas. I bought it for christmas lighting and it doesnt work DONT BUY ONE. IT DOESNT WORK!!!!!!

It appears that the time changes on it. I continually set it for the time it is now, and, when the light either do not go on or do not go off, I check it and see the the time is not correct. It is not off by minutes, but by hours. A 5-midnight run time, may find the lights still on in the morning hours. And, not coming on at 5. It beats me.
