Overall the pusher/shovel was exactly what I was looking for. The shovel blade and wood handle are very sturdy. Today was the first snow storm of the season and the first time I used the shovel. As I was lifting the third or forth shovel full of snow the plastic "D" Handle snapped off at its base. This is probably an anomaly which I hope Ace stores will correct. I contacted Garant in Canada and they differed me to Ace.

I owned one similar to this one for years and wore it down to where it was unusable.
I can't say enough about how easy it was to clear the packed snow in my driveway.
It's heavy so you will need a regular snow shovel for the lose snow.

I went looking for this type of shovel when a layer of ice formed between the snow and driveway. No one local had this type they all had the plastic versions that won't scrape the ice. So I found it on ace online and it was delivered to my local store in two days. Thanks Ace

Nicely made; good strong blade that is so hard to find these days. Unlike any plastic snow shovel, this one is strong enough with just enough weight behind it to break up ice, too. It also has a sturdy, smooth, long handle which makes it easier on your back. It actually is even better than the old-fashioned metal shovels because it's wider and you can move more snow. This shovel will last longer than any plastic shovel, including those with the metal strip that wears off in two seasons.
