Comments about Steel Grip 10in Table Saw (72554):

Bought mine at ACE for a little less than $300. Took it home and assembled it. While tightening the screws that mount the saw to its stand, the side of the saw cracked. I saw that it was cheap plastic. Can't understand the instructions-the pictures were black and white and you just can't figure out what they're showing. I regret buying it.

Comments about Steel Grip 10in Table Saw (72554):

First of all, I normally don't buy the cheapest or most expensive products. I tend to go with midrange items with good reviews. I made an exception for this purchase because I rarely need a table saw. I have a Hitachi miter saw for instance and everything about it feels sturdy and like it will last for many years.

This table saw does work, but it has flimsy plastic parts, and the measurement indicator/ticks on the front is in metric, so you have to either measure things in centimeters (easiest way) or convert each time. I might line up and attach some sort of measuring tape on top of it. I'm not sure why a table saw sold in the US wouldn't have Imperial or both metric and Imperial. It's something that can be worked around, but it's just one more thing that stands out as to the lack of though put into this saw.

The photos used in the instructions are very pixelated/blurry and have such poor contrast that all you see is a big blob on some of them. There's many typos and such in the instructions as well.

Overall if you really need a cheap table saw, and you are willing to deal with a very fragile tool, and don't mind having to figure out the assembly with horrible instructions, this saw might work OK for you for very light use. It does cut OK. I just wouldn't expect this thing to last under moderate to heavy use.
