Comments about Raindrip Stretch & Lock Coupler (S5600UB):
After my initial irrigation system was installed with less expensive compression couplers 10 years ago, many of them have cut through the ½ inch tubing and caused leaks. In every case, I have replaced each with the stretch & lock coupler that is much more durable and does not cut through the tubing over time. I couldn't recommend this product more highly, more than worth the slightly higher cost. Since many of the non-coupler leaks are from ½ - 1 inch slits in the older tubing, this stretch & lock coupler makes an easy and reliable mend by cutting out about 1½ inch of the leaking tubing. Quick, easy, and reliable. Unless I have to connect ends of tubing with a compression coupler with smaller diameter to pull under a driveway or sidewalk, the stretch & lock is my first choice every time.
