How to Make Trash Bag Spider Webs

Step 1 Cut Trash Bag in Half

Begin with a black, heavy-duty trash bag. Use your scissors to cut the trash bag in half lengthwise.

Step 2 Fold Corner to Center and Cut Off Remainder

Fold the corner of the trash bag to the center. Use the scissors to cut off the remainder of the bag. The object is to create a triangle shape (a square folded in half).

Step 3 Fold the Triangle Again

Fold the triangle into a smaller triangle shape. Tape the loose edges.

Step 4 Cut Strips out of the Trash Bag

Cut the side that does not have the tape into strips. Be careful not to cut all the way across to the side that is taped.

Step 5 Unfold Your Spider Web

Unfold your trash bag spider web. Hang it inside or outside your home as a spooky Halloween decoration.
