Float Switches opens and closes an electric circuit by upward movement of the lever arm, controlling the liquid in a receiving tank or sump. The contacts of this reverse action switch open on liquid rise and are used for tank filling applications. Maximum force to trip the switch is 8 oz. or 227 g. Mount the switch horizontally using the mounting feet. This float switch does not provide motor protection, but it may be used as a pilot to operate an overload-protected starter.
