Choose the Correct Product

A warm, moist climate can encourage the growth and algae and mildew on outdoor surfaces. Scrubbing to remove this unwanted grime is a lot of work. A simple spray-on product like Wet & Forget requires no special equipment. Connect it to your garden hose, and the built-in sprayer allows you to manage and spray the amount of product you need, as well as switch between a clean water spray. Follow the directions, stand back, and you’ll be impressed with how easy it is to get results.
How to Remove Algae and Mildew from Siding and Other Outdoor Surfaces
Step 1 Wet Surrounding Plants
Before you begin to use the product, adjust the built-in sprayer for fresh water only and wet down any surrounding plants that you want to keep. Wet the plants with water before and after you spray the affected areas with the product. This will prevent the product from harming the plants you want to keep.
Step 2 Apply the Product to the Affected Area
Evenly apply the product using the sprayer connected to your hose. Make sure to get the visible algae, mold, and mildew visibly saturated with the product. Avoid spraying the product on nearby vegetation. If you do, wet down those plants with water after you are done spraying.
Step 3 Wait for Results
There is no need to rinse after applying the product. Within 15-20 days, you should see the siding and other affected areas begin to clear up, revealing a clean surface.
