It wonderful; easy to prepare, price is good and the Hummingbirds love it! I have the Hummingbirds hovering over my head waiting for me to hang the feeder.

Absolutely no need to buy nectar and pay a fortune for the privilege. Sugar water works fine - anywhere from 4:1 (water to sugar) to 2:1 is fine - 4:1 is the "standard" mixture and causes hummers to come much more often to get the required sugar they need. However, if you are like me and live with dozens of hummers, 4:1 mixture requires refilling my feeders every day - can be quite a chore with upwards of 50 hummers visiting every day. That's why I use 2:1 mixture - the hummers get twice the sugar at every feeding and I can now refill my 4 quart feeders every other day.
Remember, you cannot be lazy and leave a feeder out more than a few days - the nectar will start to grow mold and the birds won't visit. If you're conscientious, you'll be attract a lot of hummers.
Remember, CLEAN your feeders EVERY time you refill them - get a brush to clean the nooks an crannies or use uncooked rice as an abrasive to clean.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
