I'm going to start with saying this is great covering paint. People that are saying the paint is near semi-gloss must have never used a semi-gloss. Paint has a good sheen without the reflective qualities of a semi-gloss. I have used this paint in a southern exposure room with a lot of windows and no issues or glare. To address the quick drying issue. This is a low VOC paint, which mean fast drying. If you are a slow painter you need a paint extender additive and this is a given with anyone who has a reasonable amount of painting experience. If you are experiencing issues over other types of primer. You need to know not all primer types are not compatible and may lead to issues. So make sure you give ample dry time between coats to insure a good bond. I have used many brands of paint primer in one and this by far is the best for the price. It has out performed many more expensive all in one paints.

We bought the first gallon and it went on great, looked wonderful. But after it dried and we put the second coat on, and that dried, we noticed the least pressure and it would peel , or chip very easily. We will not be using this again. This went over a primed room, so there is no reason for the chipping or peeling.
its too bad, cause it covered so well and painted so easily. i guess if you are using it somewhere that it would be touched much it would be ok.

We covered a wall that was semi gloss peach color and we decided to go with the egg shell tan and we could really tell the difference in the shine..we painted half the wall to see the difference and with the sun light coming through we saw the difference in shine..will always use egg shell from now on..really happy with this paint..little expensive from the paint we are use to using though..

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
The best way I can describe using this paint is to say it's like brushing Elmer's glue on the wall. It also drips, like 5 minutes after you brush it on when it should be well on it's way to dry, so you have to run around doing damage control. It also does not cover in one coat despite it's claims. I've tried several other brands of these "primer/paint" combos and I'm not impressed with any of them. Luckily I have textured walls and they're a little more forgiving than smooth. I can't really recommend.

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
Bought a gallon in Meandering Creek for one wall of guest room- took two full coats + touch ups to do one wall (that was already primed) and I'm glad that my goal for the room is a rather rustic/country cottage feel or I'd be extremely disappointed with the finish. I do like the colour but it's quite a bit darker than the sample or the wet shade (the colour it appears when in the can.)

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
This paint dries very fast, which makes painting anything but smaller areas nearly impossible. I also am not impressed with the coverage over any normal paint, particularly in lighter colors. Another reviewer mentioned that they thought the eggshell was too shiny, and I totally agree. It is pretty much a semi-gloss--not what I wanted. I did like the exterior paint that I got for a previous project, which was not paint + primer.

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
This product does not cover well. The areas that were cut in around windows, etc. dried before the roller was to be used leaving a darker color where the cutting had been done. THe pigment did not stay mixed for mor that 1/2 hour.
Pros
- Easy To Clean
Cons
- Messy
- Roller marks

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
As the other reviewer said, this paint dries too fast and you can easily see the roller marks. The Paint and Primer is totally waste. It did not hide my previous paint properly inspite of putting two coats. The touch-ups are easily visible. The paint wont blend well. If you tried to touch up too much you will see the paint peeling. Very disappointed with the product.

We wanted to paint kitchen cabinets and were told to find an enamel paint with primer in it. Another store wanted over $40 for a gallon and recommended we buy 2 gallons for our little kitchen. I checked out ACE since I like their service better. Picked this out on my own, used the bright white right off the shelf. Project was tough at times but had nothing to do with the paint, just a long tedious process of painting cabinetry door by door coat by coat. Took 3 coats but our cabinets were very dark wood and we were going to bright white. The entire kitchen took only one gallon so we saved money. Super happy with results, paint worked out great. After it cured for a few weeks it it dry to the touch no tackiness and it is holding up awesome. No dings or scrapes. I have had no problems with peeling as previously stated by other reviewers but I prepped my cabinets well to avoid this problem. Will be buying another gallon today to do the cabinets in the bathroom and paint door trim and doors that are all super dark in our house to brighten it up in here.

I used the free quart of flat. I thought pretty good since it is a washable flat. However, I generally use eggshell and bought 2 gal. I agree that it dries too fast and is difficult to roll back over. I also had problems with roller marks. But, more of a semi-gloss than eggshell. So, if you don't want shine, go with the flat. Won't buy again!

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
First coat went on dissapointingly. By the time I finished cutting in a section, it started to gloop and wouldn't blend together well. This is within FIVE MINUTES of starting to cut in the paint. It was impossible to touch up a spot that wasn't fully dry, it peeled right up, and that was just after about TWENTY minutes. Its nice that it dries fast, but if I can't even finish a section without messing up the last one, whats the point?

Comments about Clark + Kensington Paint and Primer in One Premium Interior Eggshell Enamel - Gallon:
I recently repainted both my boys rooms. I decided to buy the Clark Kensington brand after I visited my Ace Hardware store. The clerk was extremely helpful and was able to match the color I had chosen from another brand. I took advantage of the free paint quart to try out the color in the room. I then went back and purchased 2 gallons of the eggshell enamel to finish the job. This paint was great to work with, the consistency was just right not too thick and not runny. It covered the old paint well which was a semi gloss. It worked well on both the roller and the brush. There were only a few spots I had to go over for coverage but this paint covered even the dark blue contrast wall. I was very happy with the result. I have painted my entire house room by room and not all paints are equal. This paint is a great value for the price and you will love the quality!
