Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
The machine is well worth purchasing. A great time saver. Would buy again.
Would prefer:
A rechargeable battery pack to avoid dragging a cord.
A reverse switch to allow blowing while backing up.
A wider swath and most of all
Not to have to hold the handle switch with both hands all the time. As a righty, My left lower arm stifffens badly afer an hour's use.

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
I am a woman in her 70's who decided to do her own instead of paying a fortune to have it done. This little machine works great and is really fun to use. If it is real windy it doesn't matter how big the machine is, it is not fun. lol Anyway I would advise anyone who has short double drive and little sidewalk to buy one of these. I purchased mine last winter and not much snow but I am sure that will come living here in SD.

I was amazed at the power this machine has and the distance it can throw the snow. It doesn't have power drive but is light enough to lift and maneuver.

I knew once I bought a snow blower, we wouldn't see any more snow for the season. Used it once and found out it can be like "spitting into the wind". Make sure you throw the snow with the wind. Otherwise it worked find for the 1" of snow we got....

Used it for the first time today and it worked great and it
cleared the driveway very well. It will be easier on the
back and nice to be able to clear my neighbors area as well.
So glad I purchased it. Works well for a "small" thrower.
Starting wasn't too difficult. Love it...

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
Couple years ago we bought a used gas powered blower because I didn't want to spend $300 or $400 on a unit that wouldn't clear more than 4"-5". It ended up being super overkill, so I never really used it.
This year, we bought this one and it is surprisingly powerful. I'm more than happy with it, cuts through everything we need, just be sure you don't get the cord caught in the blower.
For a 2 car driveway, I don't think there's anything more you need. I wouldn't go much less power, but this'll do just about all you need.

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
One of the best home use products I have ever bought. It is perfect for the home owner with an average amount of sidewalk and driveway for which an expensive gas blower is over kill. It is powerful enough for close to a foot of snow. Other electric blowers tend to be a little to weak. The machine can be easily lifted and carried with one arm. The blower tube easily rotates to any needed position. If you have even a little positive attitude using this is down right fun.
Pros
- Clears to the Pavement
- Efficient in every way

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
I am a 67 year old female who is using this type of equipment for the first time in my life. I decided I needed help this year other than a shovel. I tried a heavier gas driven snow blower and could not handle it. When I used this electric start snow thrower, I immediately felt that it was very manageable in clearing my driveway. Then I cleared a path just above the grass for the Mail Carrier as the snow was so deep. The cost was also manageable. I am very glad I purchased this particular machine.
Pros
- Clears to the Pavement
- Easy controls
- Lightweight
- Maneuverable
Cons
- Limit is 12" of snow

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
Easy and quick to use. No smell left on clothing compared to gas blower. We had a similar model for 6 years in Chicago before it broke. The new model has a better switch to keep it running.
If we get a blizzard with more than a foot of snow then it is best to go out in the middle of a storm and do a first pass at cleaning. You can do drifts deeper than one foot by shaving off a smaller amount with each pass.

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
I bought this unit at the beginning of winter and have had several chances to use it. I am pleased with how well it works. It throws the snow a good distance, unless the snow is wet, but even then it does okay. The cord can be a bit of a hassle, but I prefer that to messing with a gas unit. It is similar to the noise of a vacuum cleaner.

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
Use it to clear sidewalk and driveway around garage door. It is easier to use than the gas one, although not as fast. The cord gets in the way a lot and gets very stiff in the cold.

Comments about Toro® 18in Electric Power Curve Snow Thrower (38381):
I just got this and was not sure how something so light(24Lbs) could clear my 18 x 20 foot drive after 8 inches of snow fell. Well, it did a great job!!! I would recommend this to anyone with a back problem. I was a real saver. I had a gas, oil blower and had a lot of trouble getting the right mix and when I tried to pull the rip cord, there went my back, so this Toro Power Curve is great! I even bring it into my house to dry out over my utility sink! Yes, the electrical cord has to be moved a lot, but it is well worth the trouble! I even did the area where the plow pushed the snow. I just had to go over it a couple of times, but this thing is soooo light that I could push it through and even carry it over to better starting points. I am very happy with my Toro.

I have used this to clean the roof of my house. Throws the snow much further than I would have guessed. Does not harm the roof. I will buy another 1800 power curve when this one wears out.

THIS BLOWER IS AWSOME. IT THROWS SNOW FARTHER THAN I THOUGHT AN ELECTRIC UNIT COULD. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT & MANOVERABLE. A FAIR PRICE FOR SUCH A POWERFUL UNIT. I WOULD BUY ONE AGAIN.
