Comments about Craftsman 5 Phillips Screwdriver Set (00947139):
It's great to see that these Craftsman screwdrivers are still made in the USA! Not only is that good for domestic jobs, but I have found that USA made steel always seems more durable than a lot of the steel that comes from China and other foreign sources (Germany and England excepted). As for these screwdrivers, they tend to hold their tip pattern well (the quality of the steel again) and they are very well set in the handles. When you think of buying screwdrivers, it's a good idea to first do an inventory of what you already have. Get rid of those that are bent, badly chipped, or otherwise of little use. Then think of a set. You get quite a bit of savings by buying a set as opposed to paying for these one at a time. If you are really into using these tools a great deal, ACE even has a "super duper" set of 41 screwdrivers. My dad used to use Craftsman screwdrivers and I inherited some that are still in A-1 condition after many years (and yes, he used them a lot). The newer screwdrivers appear to be every bit as good as the "old fashioned" kind. That doesn't happen often these days!
