I have use many types of canopys over the years and know what I am looking for and sa this on sale at Ace for under $60.00. I inspected it and found that it would do the job of what I needed it for and that is to keep the sun off my artwork and myself as I sell outdoors. What makes this a good deal is its size and hight and also the "Padded push pin sliders." On all other canopy models makers after a while the pins get rusted and stuck. To make sure your Shade Tech works welll over the years the moving parts need a little DW40 sprayed on the joints and pins to keep them from rusting. The other reviewscould be right about setting this canopy up in the rain. Even the best real high priced canopys are not good to set up when it is pouring down raning, and none will withstand wind and gust over 15 mph.
Bets used for staying out of the sun and keeping cooler.

This product is easy to set up, but it's for very light duty service. Use it on your lawn, or possible the kids outdoor sporting events where you are sitting on the field. We bought one to take to the beach. It lasted four days. Each morning I would set it up, use it until about noon, and then go back inside the beach house until mid afternoon. On the fourth day the wind was a little stronger, but everything was fine up until about 4:00 PM. We went in for a little bit and when we came back out at 6:30 PM, the whole canopy had collapsed. One leg was bent at the top close to the cover. The scissor arms between at least two of the legs were bent and/or broken. I should have brought an extra stake set and anchor lines. Better to invest in a heavier duty model, or bring extra stakes and anchor ropes.

Within 10 minutes of setup (which took 3 of us), a light wind took it sideways and completely bent the legs so it was not usable.

Easy to set up and easy to transport. We wanted extra shade while camping, neighborhood picnics and for kids sporting events. On sale for under $60, this was a steal and perfect for our needs. It is lightweight, so it's easy to travel with. If you need something for the beach, buy something specifically made for the beach like a beach umbrella or beach shade. This is lightweight and not intended for the beach.

I used this one time at the beach and it got caught in the wind, blew down the beach and was completely ruined. No hope of fixing. The metal was so flimsy that it just turned into a ball of metal. Bent in every direction. I am very dissapointed, I was excited to finally have one and then that happened. Very sad, very cheaply made.

set up on beach. An 8 mile an hour calm wind caused a slight lean and all four legs crippled and buckled. Had to trash it on first day use. Cannot recomment for any use outdoors.

Just bought this product and the first lite rain collapsed and damaged the unit. Manufacturer will not replace and says the unit is not for use in rain. Next time I will spend a few more bucks and get something that can withstand a little rain. Legs are flimsy and canopy itself is very thin so I should have known when I took it out of the box.
