Comments about ACE HARDWARE Ace® 8in By-Pass Pruner:
I've had my Ace 8" Bypass Pruner for a month and LOVE it! I was not impressed with my husband's squeeky, rusted Fiskars pruners, and wanted my own pruners.
I pruned about 12 dwarf Nandina's, and Bradford Pear saplings growing around the main tree, and it cuts with ease every time. Our Nandina's were overgrown, and I spent several hours pruning them, and was very impressed with this Ace Pruner...making my job easier!
The grip is comfortable and conforms to my hands. The package says this pruner cuts branches up to 3/4" thick, and it definitely does the job. In fact, I think I might have cut though Nandina roots a bit thicker than 3/4". I also use it to deadhead my Gerber Daisey's. My husband has tried my Ace pruners and said they worked really good.
