I was slightly disappointed when I discovered the bracket which is included with this flag set is made of plastic. The product description from the web states "white HDPE bracket". Looks like I should have researched what HDPE (High-density polyethylene) really is.
Also the two swivels which are supposed to keep the flag from wrapping around the pole in high winds are also made of the same HDPE plastic.
Living in AZ I'm concerned the plastic will quickly deteriorate from constant exposure to our brutal UV. Time will tell if this is a valid concern.
For the price they ask, you'd think the aluminum bracket (sold separately) would be a standard inclusion by Valley Forge to the flag set. There are two types of aluminum brackets made by Valley Forge available at ACE.
For this reason I gave it only 4 stars.
I'm still pleased with the quality and look of the flag itself. The embroidered stars and the quality of the flag's fabric is very high and the two piece steel pole has a nice finish too.
Overall this is a very nice flag set. One that you can proudly display the symbol of liberty which is foundational to our great nation.
