The flag is aluminum so it will withstand the weather without rusting. It should be stronger than Rubbermaid's plastic flag which broke several times before I gave up on it.
Since Solar Group bought the rights to Rubbermaid mailboxes, I thought it would fit the Rubbermaid mailbox that I own. It did not. I had to cut the roof overhang and the molding around the base of the flag before I could get it to fit.
All that aside -- it works well and it was reasonably priced. If you have the ability to modify the mailbox, you will be happy with this flag.
