I have used this paint on numerous projects in my house inside and outside. This paint is great have never had any problems with it. I think all these people must just not know how to paint or read the directions on the can!

Worst paint I have ever used Clark and Kensinton High Gloss. Supposed to be primer and paint in one, guess paint manufactures still cannot get it right 15+ years later. Go old school process, use primer (kilz) then paint (but not this paint). I'm on the forth coat after stripping off the first coat of this clark paint and applying kilz. Still does not cover evenly nor flow out brush strokes.

This paint does not go on evenily as you roll or brush paint on it's takes paint off. What is the secret to applying this paint so it covers evenly in one coat instead of 2 or 3 or 4? it's the worst paint I have ever used. Iwould not buy it ever. I received a free can during their free can weekend giveaway, glad I didn't spend money on it.

I'd give it negative stars if I could.

I decided to buy all my paint for my new home locally. I was looking for paint with primer and this had some positive reviews, so I purchased 8 gallons of this paint which should have been more than enough to paint the bedroom, bathrooms, dining room and kitchen with some left over for the spare bedroom a few months down the road.

It was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY. The paint doesn't cover even lighter colors. It took a whole gallon to paint a powder room (5'x4'). About 2 weeks after I painted the walls, I used some frog tape for freshly painted surfaces and it still peeled away from the wall.

Save your money and your sanity and buy something else.

I bought the eggshell version of this paint. It is terrible. I would never recommend it nor will I ever use it again. I have no idea how it was recommended to be the best by consumer reports. This paint goes on uneven. You can literally push the paint around on the wall creating bare spots where you have just painted. Then, if you put on any more than the thinnest layer of paint it will run down the walls. You will also need at least 2 coats. DON'T BUY THIS PAINT!

C & K paint does not cover well. Needs 2 coats and/or more. Very disappointed with this product.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this is the worst paint I've ever used. I'm currently on my 3rd coat when it should only take 1. Every brush stroke and roller line is visible. It also drips "late". When it dries, it leaves a strange film that's almost wet. I won't use Clark and Kensington again.

I've been painting a while. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how well this paint rolls on, covers great with textured / knockdown drywall. Colors are gorgeous and I'm now on my third project using this fantastic paint. Be sure to use an appropriate roller as this is thicker paint than normal due to the added primer. Great value for paint + primer and low voc.

I really love to paint. I heard the wonderful reviews about this paint- however really very disappointed with the deep colored paint. I was covering a very neutral color- went on rather watery- and took three coats for one wall. Loved the color choice shown on the card- just extremely dissapointed in the paint. Postives: lighter colored paint was good and covered well. Customer care in the paint department- awesome.

I think I might look elsewhere to buy a bold color or deep color paint though. Too bad- because the help in the paint department is amazing and great color options!

I recently bought a house, which I'm repainting top-to-bottom by myself, and I wish I had used Clark + Kensington for every room instead of trying to save money with paint I already had. This stuff is awesome. Even with very saturated shades of colors that are almost always two-coat propositions (orange, green), and even over white and off-white, I was able to pull off one coat with minimal touch-up work. (Meanwhile, my bathroom is at three coats and counting of a "competitor" paint, with horrible leveling, and the accent wall in my living room will need at least two coats.) While I did work as a painter for a couple years, I think anyone with average painting skills could achieve the same results with proper preparation and expectations. Self-priming paints really aren't meant to be used solo on bare wood, new drywall or difficult surfaces like wood paneling and laminate. (Even standalone primers are not always up to those tasks.) What they are good for is gripping onto surfaces that typically needed primer in the past, like semi-gloss paint, and making dramatic color transitions. And even with the best paint, any dark, bright, or heavily contrasting color is likely to need at least a few spots of touch-up. Plan ahead, buy a little more than you think you need, and you won't be disappointed.

It doesn't level and shows every brush stroke. Royal Satin Interior was rated one of the best for leveling by Consumer Reports and the Ace guy told me this was the same paint. It's not... at least for leveling. I was very dissapointed. Don't use this on trim. Also, the Satin is more like a "flat" paint. Dry texture instead of smooth. I first coated with a paint brush and then went with the foam roller that almost guarantees an excellent finish on bare wood. And what happens... the brush strokes on the first coat is replaced with an unmistakable texture of a roller.

I used this product in my childrens bedrooms in light shades of blue and green with outstanding results. I did however use this product in my foyer in a very dark "spiced wine" color and had to two coat it. I thought it should have only needed one coat since I was covering over "linen white". Fortunately, the area was small, so two coats was not much of a hastle or expense but thought paint and primer in one should have done it with one coat. Still my favorite paint inside and out hands down.

This paint is great! We covered brown walls with a crimson shade and it was done in one coat. I have decided I am going to repaint the entire house with Clark & Kensington paint. I cannot wait to see the results!

I have never been more pleased using a paint than I was with the results of this Clark & Kensington paint. Many times, on many different brands of paint I have read the words "covers in one coat", but this is the first time it was true! This was a large room in a 40 year old home that had many stains on the wall. I was also using an extremely light color (Dinner Mint). This paint covered completely the old wall color and every stain on it in just one coat. It also did not spatter or drip as I rolled it on.
This IS the only paint I will use on all my future projects. This quality along with all the wonderful ideas and help you receive from the employees at Ace Hardware makes any project so much easier.
This paint was worth every penny I paid!

Painted on a brand new wall that was primed ahead of time because it was new drywall. Not at all impressed with how the paint dries - it shows every single overlap of the roller. Save yourself the frustration - don't buy this paint! I should have gone with my instincts and bought Baer paint - I have never been disappointed with it!
