I purchased these for our home, since I have allergies and asthma. They work very well. When my mother-in-law had trouble finding the size for her central air system, I ordered them for her.
They are as good as the high-end brand name that I used several years ago. My mother-in-law has two large long haired dogs, and they cut down on the dander in the air at her home. I would and have recommended these to many people.
a hint: write the date of installation on the side, especially when installing in someone else's home. Then we can check to see that they are changed on schedule.

So I ordered online and went to pick up at the store. The guy who retrieved the package was wondering why I ordered it online. He said that the store price was cheaper than what I was charged ordering online. He said next time just to have the store order it for me and it would be cheaper.

Buying by the case saves trips to the store. I try to change the furnace filters once a month,so a case of 12ea. is perfect. We live about 100 yds from a saw mill. It and the trucks that service it cause a lot of dust to settle in our house. These do the job nicely and inexpensively.

I feel that for a pleated air filter with MERV 8 rating [...]--it can't get much better. These fit my filter grille perfectly, with virtually no air gaps around the edges, so whistling of air is not an issue. This was a better deal than could be found at the two other big stores (wink, wink). Thanks!

I have used these in two locations in my 2000 sq-ft home and am very pleased at their filtration capability and low cost ([$] each at Ace). I cannot measure how small (in microns) it filters. However, opening the front door will bring in more than the difference between a $25 filter and this one...there comes a point.

This furnace filter works great for the price. It lasts just as long as the more expensive filters. It would be nice if it had baking soda or other air fresheners, but I wouldn't want to sacrifice on price for that feature. We have a yellow Lab who sheds mercilessly. I change the filter every 2-3 months, depending on the season.

I normally use filtrete "dust reduction 300",but when they werent available,I bought these.They appear to be similar in construction,although the fit in my air handler is looser than filtrete and the ace filter media material is different.However,performance is satisfactory and the filter is a good value.

We have been using Ace pleated filters for about 3 years. We both have very bad allergies and it's been a miracle. We began using Ace filters because we could never find our size anywhere (even the very, very expensive ones) 14x25x1. I'd recommend these to anyone.
