Comments about Dremel 3000 VS Rotary Tool Kit (3000-1/24 ):
I have used a great deal of rotary tools including fordome power carvers and micro moors. I rated the Dremel 300 four stars because the only thing it is lacking is a flexible shaft in the carring case when you buy it. Without the accesory of the flexible shaft the tool still works well but it is a bit more dificult to utilize without shuting off the ventilation needed to cool the engine both on the outlet and intake sides. The torque was what I expected from this unit and the variable speed is a great addition especially when switching between materials like metal or plastic. Although I like this unit I would not recommend it for anything more than a medium sized project since the sustained heat buildup could lead to damage over time. I hope this helps some of you and have fun with your next DIY.
