Comments about Solo® Backpack Sprayer With Piston Pump (425):
I bought this sprayer for 9 dwarf fruit trees and can count on both hands the number of times I used it before it broke. The sprayer is a complete nuisance. It leaks a lot of insecticide (down my back) when it is three-quarters full due to an ill-fitting lid. The straps are thin, have no padding, and connect to the unit with the cheapest of fasteners. Every 5 to 10 minutes a strap will come undone and refastening it requires a few minutes time and additional lifting of the tank (which is usually full, heavy, and leaking). Spraying thicker insecticide, like liquid Sevin, will clog up the sprayer and unclogging it is extremely time consuming. Don't expect the pump to endure more than 4 months of light use before it fails. 100% made in [*]. I will never purchase a Solo again.

Comments about Solo® Backpack Sprayer With Piston Pump (425):
I bought this sprayer over 10 years ago. I use it 25-30 times a year. It seems to be heavier now with a full four gallons than it used to! It finally wore out and the inner pressure cylinder leaks. I had to replace the spring in the handle, but that is it over the years. The new ones look very similar (except mine came with a brass sprayer arm). Hopefully they made just as well. I am headed out this weekend to purchase another one.

Comments about Solo® Backpack Sprayer With Piston Pump (425):
Usually my sprayers last a year, no matter cost, so I tried this piston instead of bladder pump...going on 4 years and works like the day I bought. I use this at least twice a week and from the first green, Nor Cal, I have to spray 8-10 gallons weekly until it dries out in June, or July this year.
Even the high end sprayers from across the pond didn't last more than a year...
Well worth the cost
Pros
- It worked for a while
Cons
- Gets Stuck
- Uncomfortable
- Unwieldy
Best Uses

- Insecticides
Comments about Solo® Backpack Sprayer With Piston Pump (425):
OK, so, I owned this sprayer for about four months. Although it was heavy, unweildy, and the straps were uncomfortable, it still worked. And then by the fourth month, the pump broke. Of course by then it was too late to take it back, so I'm stuck with a total piece of junk. It's a shame that I have to give it even one star for a rating.

Cons
- Bad straps
- Unwieldy

Comments about Solo® Backpack Sprayer With Piston Pump (425):
The idea behind the straps of this product was not thought through! The straps cause the front of my pants to 'ride up' and makes it uncomfortable and unwieldy to use. I would not recommend this product to anyone!
