I'm an avid cook who was lucky enough to get a good deal on a set of Henckel Twin Four Star knives late last year. Needless to say, these knives get a lot of use and were in desperate need of sharpening. In researching knife sharpeners, I found this product and for the price, ease of use, caliber of recommendations and the fact it doesn't take up much storage space I went and purchased one at my local Ace Hardware store.

Having never sharpened a knife before in my life, I found the instructions easy and clear. In about 5 minutes I sharpened an incredibly dull but in good condition 30+ year-old trident dreizack solingen chef's knife to the point where it now works as well as my now sharpened Henkel knives. This has sold me on this product. No other knife sharpener will do for me.

My husband and I love this sharpener, but we had used it so much we needed a new one. We couldn't remember where we had purchased it and didn't have the original packaging, so I did an online search to look for local dealers. I found the product and saw that replacement blades are available. My husband easily took our sharpener apart to see if the blades would be simple to change. Surprise! You can turn the blades over and get twice the use! He flipped them and it is like new!! I plan to use these as stocking stuffers, bridal shower gifts, and new homeowner gifts.

I use this product to sharpen my knives after 5 or 6 uses to keep them sharp. It's convenient unlike those complicated knife sharpening machines.

I have owned several knife sharpeners in my 59 yrs. but this is the one I actually use and see the instant results! I keep it right in my kitchen drawer and swipe my knife through it almost everytime I use a knife. It is a JOY to cook with a really sharp knife! My husband has used it to sharpen his pocket knives and he was definetly impressed. I am getting two more as stocking stuffers for my daughter and daughter-in-law. I know it is something they will use every day like I do.

I cook professionally and have several of these because other staff constantly swipe them on me. While others are playing with their fancy electric sharpeners I am giving my blades 2 or 3 swipes thru the AccuSharp and my knives are done and better than what the others turn out. I have given them to everyone I know and not one person has said they don't absolutely love them. I keep replacement blades in the house too, although I have only had to change them in my first AccuSharp after 8 years and lots of use between home and work.

we were encouraged to buy this sharpener by the sales person at a cooking store. He said it was the best one he had ever used. We bought it as it was cheap enough that if it was not good it would not be a big loss. It worked great and we love it. You do not have to be strong or steady or have the blade just right like so many sharpeners you just pass the blade through a few times and it is sharp and longer than for just one use. Try it you will not be sorry.

I researched around for an electric sharpener[$] but read an article in America's Test Kitchen stating this [$]manual sharpener is rated #1 and works almost as good as the [$]electric. They tested over 20 manual sharpeners, some more expensive, and this is rated the best. I suggest this to anyone who hunts, fishes or just cooks in the kitchen as it keeps knifes sharp, is very easy to use, and is very affordable. I used to use a wetstone but with limited results, this takes all the guesswork out of the equation and produces a better blade than the stone did for me. First use on a knife you have to swipe it a few extra times (10-15) but after the knife is sharp, 2-3 passes is all is needed to resharpen for an extra sharp knife. You don't have to use alot of pressure for best results. My steak knifes have never been sharper, cleavers, hatchet, fillet knifes, buck knife, even serrated blades can be used. I love this tool and am getting one for my brothers and father for x-mas. Trust me this is really worth the money!
