Well I gave these a try because they were so cheap. Didn't expect much, but was happily surprised. They were kind of a pain to open, but when you do get them open they are great bags - I used them for cleaning up broken down tree branches and stuff around my neighborhood after all the storms last month (I'm in Southern Illinois, btw). It was some of the worst storming we've seen here in years. Anyway, I bought a pack at Ace and handed them out to neighbors as we picked up all the "stuff" the storm blew off.
They were fantastic - seldom ripped, held up well. If you can imagine a bag full of wet debris and limbs, it's kind of heavy. but other than a few branches poking through they never ripped. Cheap and strong - what else do you want?

I'm not able to open the bags; somehow they are seal shut. The mfr. should use quality control to assure us that its bags are able to open.

i used to love these type/make bags but the mfr. apparently is not using good quality control to assure the bags don't get sealed shut with heat in the roll-up process.
