I have a smooth top stove & the base of the coffeepot doesn't sit flat. Also, my smallest burner is bigger than the base of the coffeepot. While it is heating up it moves around a bit but once it starts to perk it stays still. Makes very good coffee with a 6 minute perk time. Use the filters to keep the grounds out of the coffee.

Imagine, no clock, no programming, this is old school. It takes up a lot less space than the typical coffee appliance most people have. I purchased it mainly so I can make coffee in a motel room with kitchen but no in-room coffee. It works really well but is slower than the typical drip brewer.
The instructions say to put the burner on medium to start it perking, it would probably take all day if I did this. I put it on high and when it starts perking then turn it down to medium or a little less so as not to burn the coffee. I let it perk for 5 to 7 minutes depending on how desperate I am. The coffee is as good as any I have ever had.

Takes a few minutes for water to heat up and start perking. As soon as it starts perking, set the timer for 7 minutes. This is just like the coffee we had growing up. I like the looks of the coffee pot too.

This is a good basic cordless coffee pot. I have the 12-cup version. The good sized glass top makes the perking very visible. Takes 8 minutes to start perking on my gas stove, and 8 minutes of perking to get the brew I like.
