But this is the best way to get rid of mole problems, all year long! Best of all no chemicals to worry about! no sonic noise to hurt the pets ears, just the good old death trap! oh if that is a bad way to put it sorry, but thats what gets rid of the problem! I will keep buying these as long as I know people have mole problems.

New design Victor Mole trap ineffective. I believe cost cutting created the demise of 0645 trap. First and formost the spring is inadequate. Check it out against the old style. I do not have my notes I sent to Victor regarding this trap but I believe the old spring had 22 heavy coils vs new spring with 16 light weight coils. Killer spikes are nothing but nails cut off at an angle. Old design had spikes like an ice pick. Victor was not interested in my comments.

I was thinking i wasted my money on this thing but i just killed my first mole with this trap that i been useing for a month now. I didnt think it would work today cause it got so cold and snowed last night but i saw the spikes was in the ground so i pulled it up and seen no blood but when i started digging just to see why the trap went off I found the mole. one of the spikes got him.

Comments about WOODSTREAM Victor® Mole Trap (0645):
After 3 trips and no kills, found tunnels deeper than range of spikes. So after flatting tunnel around trap dug out some grass and soil then set trap in dug out space. Also push unset trap in before setting so that spikes have a clear unobstructed path into tunnel.

Comments about WOODSTREAM Victor® Mole Trap (0645):
After reading about mole behavior for a couple weeks and believing that trapping is the only way to go, I bought this trap and killed a mole within 12 hours after first triggering. Piece of cake, but you need to understand how to set it... read the other (positive) reviews on this page, they're spot on.

Comments about WOODSTREAM Victor® Mole Trap (0645):
This is a great product if you think like a mole and use it correctly. Do some research on the internet to understand mole behavior. Find an active path and set it carefully. Reset it four or five times until new tunnels stop appearing. Remember that you may never find your dead mole (since you're likely to have clipped him instead of directly killing him). Be patient.
I tried for two years to rid my yard of moles, purchased this, and I'm mole-free three days later.

Comments about WOODSTREAM Victor® Mole Trap (0645):
As long as you set this trap on an active tunnel, it will always kill the mole. The key to getting it to work properly is to first, smash down the active tunnel, then push the spikes of the trap into the ground before setting the trap. This allows the spikes to hit the target without the ground interfering.

Comments about WOODSTREAM Victor® Mole Trap (0645):
I have trapped a mole every year with this trap. The key is putting the trap on an active tunnel. I have tried other products. For the price of this one and how well it works. This is the trap to get.

Comments about WOODSTREAM Victor® Mole Trap (0645):
This product is garbage. The trap is cheap. I have set this trap numerous times. The metal has bent and I still have moles. I called the company to make sure I was using it right. I have set and reset this at least 20 times. The trap has activated and the mole is still tracking in the same area. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Victor makes a good trap for the most part, but this one is useless. On the rare chance that it does go off the thing hasn't hit one yet.
