Comments about Forney® Round Soapstone Refills (60305):
On recommendation of a bowling pro shop operator, I was actually looking for soapstone that would be a little wider (and so more substantial - less likely to break off). But as long as I'm careful in applying it to the thumb hole of my bowling ball, this does a great job of reducing friction and moisture so my thumb will slip out easily when I throw the ball. Great temporary fix for folks whose thumbs (or fingers) swell or sweat. Just put a thin soapstone coating on the walls of the thumb hole. Doesn't last long - but works great! Thanks Charlie!
