It was a standard post to support a standard size mailbox. After opening package the post had been smashed so that it was no longer symmetrical. Since I was trying to insert it into a buried pipe it was problematic. The package was NOT damaged so it leads me to believe it was shipped from the factory in that condition. If I can't expect to receive a product I purchase in new condition I'm dubious about recommending it or purchasing it again.

This is installed in a rural area on a County Trunk Highway. It has been "fixed" 5 times since the installation 3 months ago. Once it was picked out of the ditch because the post is too short. About daily the box door comes open. EVERY time a county plow truck comes by it is pushed sideways by the force of the plowed snow. The box is not tied into the post so they do not reinforce each other, the decorations are broken and serve no structural purpose. The whole unit is going to the junkyard as soon as it thaws enough to put one from another company in. Northern Wisconsin
