my farberware electric coffee pot is a great item, that I would like to keep for a long time. I heard that the pots today last only about 6 mos. the presto pot I just bought is very much in comparison to the older farberware pot. built with integrity, and makes delicious coffee. I certainly will recommend this pot to other potential buyers or my friends.

Purchased my Presto 8 years ago when we lived in a camper,when we were building our new home because it didn't take up a lot of space.I used it continously for 1.5 years in camper.About 3 years ago I started using it & I have used it every morning since.I got disgusted in buying drip coffee makers and having them last 3 months. I have also put this on an Appliance timer so when I wake up I have my coffee already perked. Love it,going to buy another for a back up since it is going on 9 years old!
