This fan was used to cool my horse in his stall at an equine hospital. It kept Max remarkably cool and was quiet enough to talk near it without shouting. The hospital had one in front of each stall and it was still very quiet. Max loved the air and kept his head in front of the area where the fan was located outside the bars of the stall door. Max says thank you!!!! for keeping him cool when temperatures soared to 100 degrees.

My boyfriend and I bought this fan in September 2009 to cool off our bedroom at night. It worked really well and we continued using it into the winter since we got use to the sound of having a fan on at night. It is now January 2010 and I am writing this review because it just stopped working three days ago! I would give the fan 5 stars because I loved it so much, but since it broke after less than 5 months, I give it 2 stars!

I had my cabinets in my kitchen re-finished and because the temperature was almost 100 degrees, it had made inside my unit even warmer. The stain wasn't drying and I needed a really good fan to help with the process. This fan easily did the job and now sits in the hallway and pushes airflow throughout my home. 100% recommended.

I bought this fan based on other reviews that it was loud because I like a loud fan for sleeping. Unfortunately, it isn't load at all. It's actually very quite. Also, the fan I got does not have a speed control on the top as shown in the picture. It has the control on the back, which is very awkward and difficult to use. Build quality is as poor as you could possibly imagine using the flimsiest lightweight plastic.

I use this fan when I'm going to sleep or when I go out on a vacation. The most great things about is that is loud (I love loud fans), is very powerful, I love the way It's sounds, it is well made, and this fan is american. I have 4 Lakewood box fans, 3 that the fan blades are plastic, and 1 with a metal fan blade. All of my 4 Lakewood box fans is the best and more reliable than any other box fans!!

Great to use in rooms that have no air conditioning in a house or apartment that has other rooms aircondtioned. Great for circulatiing air conditioning when weak airconditioners don't geat the job.
