Comments about Collins® 3lb Kindling Splitter (TJ-3FD-C):
I have this in my emergency search and rescue kit for CERT. I used it for two days demolishing a single wide trailer. It has enough weight to break most stuff, while being light enough to handle all day and in tight quarters. The handle is still going strong. I have used it a couple times to split wood, and found it OK. It is not quite tapered enough for the knotty wood I have, but I know it would excel straight grains.
