Product is easy to use. After about 3 seasons, the motor burned up and we're shopping for another edger. Edging is easier when the ground is a bit wet, but you have to constantly open the door and clean out grass or dirt. The cord has the same drawbacks as any electric tool, but there is no mess from mixing gas.

Used the item only three times and the motor burned up in the middle of third use. You have to be constantly opening and cleaning during project. Parts are a nightmare. Will not replace this model.

the second time i used this adger the trigger switch failed and rendered unit useless...when i called b and d i was informed it was out of warrenty..in spite of very low useage they did not honor supplying replacement part...i would not recommend this brand to anyone...then they hold you captive for parts at service center that cost almost half on new unit...keep away from this product and be forewarned about b and d's treatment of customers...
