DAP "53" is the best product I have found for filling nail holes in wood trim. It is great for any similar small hole or crack. It won't dry up and fall out like spackle; it won't shrink like caulk; it won't dry up AND shrink like wood filler. (Of course, don't try to patch a large hole with it; that is not it's intended purpose.)
