Will not even stick to itsself. I followed the directions twice trying to stick down a formica laminate. With a lot of pressure for a lot of time in the same place, it kind of sticks. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the formica is floating 6 inches above the counter when I wake up tomorrow morning.

Comments about Dap® Weldwood® Non-Flammable Contact Cement:
This product completely failed--twice. It will stick to anything except itself which is bad news when dealing with contact cement. I attempted to laminate 1/4 plywood to a countertop surface. The cement stuck well to the plywood and even to the laminate counter top which I had scoffed with sand paper. I was concerned that the cement might not stick to this, but it held well. I allowed the recomended dry time so that the cemet had just dried, but not so long as to possibly loose its tack. After pressing the surfaces together I was shocked -- nothing, absolutely no adhesion. I went back to the store and was told that too much time must have elapsed or that the plywood needed more coats (I'd already put two on). I also thought perhaps the can was too cold when I used it. Got a new can and repeated. I tested for adhesion several times as the surface was drying to be sure that I was not allowing it to over-dry -- no adhesion and no better results after 35 minutes of drying. Waterbased products are subject to failure if allowed to freeze during shipment. Possibly the whole batch was bad, but I see others have the same problem.
I am a professional remodeler with 18 years experience. I have never had a problem with the more volitile cements. I only used the Low VOC type this time because this was for a client's bedroom and I wanted to avoid the problem of smell. This experience only reinforces by general attitude about "Green" products -- they are often poor performers.

I used this to glue laminate, or should I say tried to glue laminate. It simple does not work, no matter the variables: light coat, light coat x2, heavy coat, dry for 30 mins, dry for 1 hour.... Nothing worked. Must be a problem with the water base. I will get the regular formula and give it a try.

Comments about Dap® Weldwood® Non-Flammable Contact Cement:
This product does not work. Water based adhesives in general are very questionable as it relates to performance. I tried to glue several different types of surfaces with the product without success. This stuff does not even stick to itself. In my opinion it should be removed from retailers shelves. I returned the one I bought and will never use again.

I used this Product to Glue down Layment board down in my 28 ft enclosed trailer. I used a roller and apply the clue to the floor and than to the underlayment board and let them both get tacky and layed the flooring down. Weldwood Contact Cement did a awesome job and I would use it again.
