Comments about ACE HARDWARE Halts® Crabgrass Preventer (49805A):
In our coastal area, most lawns are St Augustine and do not require or benefit from fertilizer until about May. Halts without fertilizer is needed to control dandylions and thistle in coastal lawns in early spring. Two or three applications starting in February work for me. Balan works also but is harder to find.
