We use this getting from dirty areas into our garage & house. You can scrape even mud off and then hose down or shake the mat easily. Sandy stuff and gravel drops into the plastic "blades of grass" and away from your shoes. Nothing does great on some of our really wet adobe mud, but it lessens the amount of mud we have to clean off our shoes manually. We have decomposed granite in our pathway to the house. Having our friends use this mat before they enter the house after passing over that, keeps it out of our house.

My husband uses this mat to practice his golf chipping. Compare this item to those sold in golf stores @ 4 times the price. Works just the same. I also purchased larger mat w/out daisy (LOL) @ my local Ace Hardware. Good price for this item. [...]
