Comments about Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker 18.5in (721001):
Got this smoker as a gift in early 2013. Have used it 3 times and have no complaints. Temp. control is a breeze with this smoker, got the temp. to 225, set the vents and left it for hours at a time with no change in temp. Last smoker I had I spent more time and money on charcoal to maintain a steady temp compared to this one. A little more cost up front, but its a Weber, how can you go wrong? I have a Genesis E320 propane that I have had for 6 years, still looks new, works like new so it was a no brainer when my wife decided to buy a Weber. Many friends of mine that compete use this smoker and say it produces the best results every time compared to other similar products. If you're new to smoking or have been doing it for years and are considering this smoker, debate no longer. Just buy it!!!

Got this great little smoker, and was very happy with the results. Its the Perfect size not to big or bulky, its also very user friendly. And with Weber you can always count on the excellent quality of their grills. I do recommend if you are a new to smokers the book "Low & Slow: Master the Art of Barbecue in 5 Easy Lessons" by Gary Wiviott. You absolutely can't go wrong with this smoker!!

We just got it for Christmas 2012 really have not had time to give a good report. My grandson did a pork roast and my husband did a turkey. We are learning still. The turkey turned out great but we cooked the roast a little too fast so it got too black on the outside, in order to get the inside done. We did the roast first so we did better with the turkey. We will learn as we go. Our grandson had been using a Weber grill to smoke with so this was a little different for him to use.

Used electric smokers, but this is the best. Easy to maintain proper smoking temps with minimal fuss during cooking process. Easy set up/cleaning. Well made. This is the unit that almost all of the competitive chefs use and it is easy for the weekend smoker. A great product.

Served in the mission field in Argentina for 8 years. Took the 18" mountain smoker with me. After feeding MANY, similar looking bullets began appearing all over the neighborhood. The only item that I owned upon leaving that anyone there wanted, was my Weber smoker. The first thing I purchases upon returning to the USA was another 18" smoker. It is 6 years old now and still looks like new. Cooked a 24 pound Turkey (wet, indirect)yesterday and it was yummy. 20lb. boneless prime rib this afternoon (Thanksgiving week). Christmas will be hickory smoked ribs. yum. Steelhead trout is something you need to try!!! No other cooker is as versatile as this one. However, if you want it fast (like propane), don't get this one. It will take you at least 30 minutes to cook anything. But for me, I would have it no other way.

Purchased this smoker because I had to smoke 75lbs of pork shoulder for a church gathering. After 50 hours of continuous smoking we turned 7 12lb shoulders into enough pulled pork to feed 225 hungry people!

Comments about Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker 18.5in (721001):
I purchased my smoker two weeks ago. I did a dry run with just water charcoal and hickory to season the smoker box. Today I smoked two boston butts. This unit is amazingly simple to use. I lined the outside edge of the charcoal ring with about 60 briquettes and used a chimney starter to start a full load of charcoal. I placed the lit coals in the center of the ring and loaded my butts, closed it up and left all of the vents wide open. 6 hours later I had to add about 20 more briquettes to keep the temp up. All I had to do was add hickory chunks once in a while. Try that with your cheap smoker. I actually cleaned the house and went shopping while smoking the butts and the temp never went above 250 degrees. This thing is awsome......

Comments about Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker 18.5in (721001):
This is by far the greatest smoker I have ever used. Its amazing how it holds steady temps for up to 12 hours with one load of charcoal. Weber's are definately more expensive than other smokers but you are paying for excellent customer service and a product that is built to last for over a decade. There is even a website solely dedicated to this smoker and it seems to have a cult like following. If you are contemplating buying this just go ahead and do it and you will be so happy and making the most authentic BBQ you have ever tasted! I'm absolutely in love with this smoker.
