This humidifier has stopped my static electricity shocks from everything I would touch. Settings one and two are quiet but 3 and 4 tend to be noisy. Go to them when I leave home. Been using two weeks with no complaints so far. On setting two it puts out about three gallons a day and will do six on the higher settings.

If you don't get the refill tank set right exactly on the tower and the valve on the bottom of the refill tank gets bumped it can and will run some water out. This makes for a mess, especially on carpet! This has happened numerous times for me so I try and make sure I use it on a bare floor but even then you still have water to wipe up.

The unit basically does what its suppossed to do, but appears
somewhat flimsy. Often the needs water light will go on when the tanks are not empty, a "jiggle" of the tank will fill the reservoir and the light will go off. Several times we have awakened to see the needs water light on when it shouldn't have been and the unit had not run when it should have.

The latches holding the vent doors broke easily, but I've used clear tape on the corners to hold them on. But, the motor just burned out after 5-6 years of use only in winter (not continuous all day or all night use). I agree with others that fan setting 4 is a bit noisy, but 3 is fine, even in TV area. It was really good for adding humidity in a large room. I'm torn about this humidifier. I'm thinking about purchasing another, because it's the only one that will fit in the space I need to put it in, but worry about buying something that only lasts 5-6 years. I would recommend to friends with limitations.

I have made several humidifier purchases and they all turned out to be worthless. This one works great and is worth the extra price for the large gallon capacity and square footage coverage. The fan has four speeds, and is practically silent on the lower two settings, which is rare. Living in Colorado, we have very dry winters and static electricity is literally shocking. Since purchasing this product three weeks ago, we have put about 50 gallons through it and still have not established a good baseline humidity level. The machine is working great so far and has run non-stop since I brought it home. Why this is only an online only product baffles my mind. It should be in every dry climate Ace Hardware!

Nice looking unit, blends into furnishings, and very easy to fill. Very quiet on fan speed 1 or 2, and speed 2 is all that's needed to do our second floor. Only needs filling every couple days.

I use it in my bedroom at night. Has four speed settings. I use #1 because the other three are too loud.
Someone complained it leaks if you don't replace one of the tanks properly.The instructions recommend using it on a flat surface. Not on carpeting. I use a cookie sheet on top of my carpeting. Collects any excess water or leakage.

It's lasted for 3 or 4 winters now and still working fine. The tall, narrow design is nice because it holds more water than most portable humidifiers but doesn't take up a lot of space. I clean mine by using a spray bottle filled with vinegar and just wipe and rinse clean.
