Tried 3 of these --- none worked. Contacted Honeywell help line. They said I must be getting thermostats from a "bad batch" - told me to go to a different store for one. I did get a different one - a different brand - & it worked immediately!!!! So much for Honeywell quality!

Honeywell's old "heat only" mercury tstats tracked better and lasted for decades. This electronic replacement version is pricey and doesn't perform or last anywhere as well. I have purchased several of these units and some track well and some don't. Some have quit working after 2 years of use. Honeywell is not that repair or replacement friendly either.

The thermostat was installed to control a pellet stove supplying heat to the second story of a cabin. It works but the lower dial that tracks room temperature reads low. I checked it against a separate thermometer.
