I used this hardware to address numerous squeaky spots in my hardwood floors. I've tried other techniques as well (screwing from below, screwing from above, and blocking from below) but the Squeak Ender hands down worked best. If you can access the squeaky area from below, this is the solution that you want. It's simple to install which is particulary nice if you are working in a constrained space. Only negative is that it would be nice if the bracket was somewhat stronger as it can bend when you really starting torquing it down. That said, it still is a great product.
