Comments about Lewis® Lawn Aerator (M-7):
For a small city yard, this tool is definitely better (and less expensive) to use than a mechanized aerator.
Comments about Lewis® Lawn Aerator (M-7):
Spike aerators don't aerate. They jam the soil together.
Use a Plug/Core aerator or don't bother.
Comments about Lewis® Lawn Aerator (M-7):
The Yard Butler spike aerator is designed well and is sufficiently sturdy. Divided lawn into small-task areas. Some sections required supplemental watering the previous day to "soften up" for full-spike penetration (3.5" x 5/16"). Cut grass short, spike-aerated, over-seeded, top-dressed with a thin layer of Ace 72436 compost, worked into turf with the BACK side of a leaf rake, and kept moist until seed germinated. VERY satisfied with the results!

Comments about Lewis® Lawn Aerator (M-7):
Horrible design, holes wouldn't release dirt, had to use drill to get dirt out. Gave up and used a sledge hammer on the thing, fell apart quickly after that. Could make a good tool ornament in your shed, but not for functional use.
