My wife and I have had this humidifier for over a year now and it works well in a bedroom. We like the 4 speed settings, that you can adjust the humidity levels, and that it has a filter.
What we like best about this humidifier is that it does not leave any white residue over our funiture. We had to return a ultrasonic mist humidifier because of the white residue it left behind everywhere (had to clean off surfaces everyday, what a pain that was). We bought this humidifier in its place and have had no difficulties with it. Yes, it can be a pain filling it up (as other people have referenced) but all in all we are happy with it.
The only issue we are now facing is that our 13 month old has figured out how to remove the water container and likes to play with it which can get the carpet wet when he pushes the valve to release the water. He also has figured out that there are buttons to play with. Don't worry, the humidifier is always unplugged when he is in the same room with it. We have found that the humidifier is helping him breath better at night.
Our family has been happy with this humidifier as it is easy to use and has the setting we were looking for.

The tank is awkward to fill and is thin, brittle plastic that cracks easily. Mine needed 24" of airplane glue to fix cracks and looks terrible. Don't ever drop the tank!

Like previous reviewers have said, this tank is difficult to fill. It is very long so we could only fill it in our kitchen sink or bath tub. Then you have to just hold it and screw the lid down because the other end is not flat, which can be challenging as it is usually all wet.
The settings are easy to use- I liked the ability to set the percent humidity. The first 3 fan speeds were not too loud but the jump to the highest fan speed was significant. It became incredibly loud, even for me, and we always sleep with a fan on for the white noise.
The filters seemed to become dirty quickly and they are pretty expensive. I think it was $20-30 for 2 filters. Not worth the constant replacement.
I accidentally dropped something that weighed only a couple of pounds on the tank and it cracked right across the top. We could not get just the replacement tank.

The container is nearly impossible to fill without getting soaking wet. And there is no way to set the container down to put the lid back on!

After a year of use, this product freezes up and will not work. One does not have control of it's use. The sensor limits it's use. It will not run when needed. It is difficult to keep clean in the fan area. It is a collector for dust. Save your money.
