Comments about Medelco® Glass Stovetop Percolator (PK008):
You have to experiment with this little gem.
I use a gas stove with the flame set to slightly LESS than medium. This gives me a full flavored brew without bringing coffee to a full boil in about 15 minutes. The trick is to let it percolate (simmer) and remove from heat just before a full boil.
I always use cold water from the fridge and fill the carafe to just UNDER the bottom of the metal band.
For finely ground coffee, I cut a half inch slit in the center of a regular coffee filter so it fits in the basket.
If you take the time to experiment with your heat settings and the amount of coffee you use, you will get the smoothest cup of coffee you have ever made.

Comments about Medelco® Glass Stovetop Percolator (PK008):
Coffee tasted great. However; the handle kept slipping at the base (where the screw is located). Finally, the plastic holding the screw broke. Everytime I used the coffee pot, the handle bacame loose and was dangerous to poor.

Comments about Medelco® Glass Stovetop Percolator (PK008):
I've used half the amount of ground coffee for a mild or
bolder strength.....when coffee is made in a drip pot...
it hits the coffee grounds once....when it is percolated,
it goes through the grounds as many times as you prefer..
to achieve the coffee strength you prefer.I would like a
larger container...12 cup.
