Listen guys. I know how heavy handed and wanting to have a job done yesterday many of you are. All I can say as a Lady mechanic is this. I work slow and do not gun the drill or other tools. This product works great. If any of you broke it, you just didn't do as directed. I know a broken bolt is a pain in the bazoins but try to be easier on the equipment next time. If I had listened to your comments, I would still have my problem. Instead my car has a new thermostat and new bolts, thanks to Pro Grabit.

I do agree that this item does the job. Here is the catch to that however. If it is used in automotive like areas. This tool is worthless for bolts that are fused to the metal housing. In that case you have to drill the bolt out with a Tungsten Carbide bit, then tap it. Best use for this tool would be in house projects.

Comments about DRILL OUT Pro Grabit® Broken Bolt & Damaged Screw Extractor Kit (8430P):
I have used this product in many applications and has never let me down. For anyone complaining that their Grabit Tool broke you probably were not using it as specified in the directions. Either the bolts or screws you were trying to pull out were larger than the Grabit is intended for(which it specifies on the packaging) or you were using it wrong because you were too high and mighty to actually read the directions. This handy little tool has never let me down and I have extracted well over 100 screws with little to no problems.

Comments about DRILL OUT Pro Grabit® Broken Bolt & Damaged Screw Extractor Kit (8430P):
I have used this set twice - both times on motorcycles. In the first case, an over-torqued bolt sheared off flush in the aluminum motor case. The Pro Grabit bit worked flawlessly to extract the trapped piece. The second application was more challenging. One of four bolts holding the mirrors to the body on a friend's new bike was so tight from the factory that its torx T-30 bolt head stripped out. When the Pro Grabit was used per the directions, there was not enough purchase in the soft metal to overcome the binding force, and the bit just stripped off more metal. But by using a drill bit smaller than the Grabit bit and drilling part way down into the bolt head allowed the Grabit extractor to go deeper and grab into more secure metal, and finally free the stubborn bolt. There was never any appearance that the bit was going to break, even after the extractor finally dug in and began actually applying torque to the seized bolt. This set may not be appropriate for really large, or severely seized fasteners, but it does work when used properly on lighter problems.

Comments about DRILL OUT Pro Grabit® Broken Bolt & Damaged Screw Extractor Kit (8430P):
We needed this when we were taking our flat screen tv off of the stand to mount it on the wall. The last screw that held the tv into the stand got stripped and we could not get it out. We tried everything we could think of but nothing would work. We saw the Grabit advertised online and thought we'd try it. Well, we were very pleased that it actually does work! We thought we'd never be able to mount the tv on the wall, so to be able to fix our problem with this simple tool was exactly what we needed! Great product!

Had a stripped screw so I ran out and bought this.
Did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help. I think it made things worse if anything. The smallest extractor broke.
