Overall I am satisfied with this unit. The reel easily allows hose to be pulled out. Unit remains stable during pull out, however, it tends to move around while rolling up the hose if the reel is empty. Once several turns of hose are on the reel, it becomes more stable. There is considerable play where the handle attaches to the reel, possibly could be a problem after more use.

Holds all the hose that the description says and more. Don't think I'll ever have to buy another hose reel. The plastic ones I had in the past only lasted a couple of years and leaked from day one... Not this one!! A little pricey as an initial outlay, but cost per year will be cheaper in the long run.

Had to special order this unit at the local Ace Hardware Store.Worked out very well. No shipping charges. And it rang up less than advertized! Like having a coupon. After the frustrations of the plastic carts that inevitably break, and the expensive leaker I bought at [@], I took a chance on this after reading the reviews. It seemed a bit small coming out of the box and I seriously doubt it could handle 400' of hose. I use 225' and it's just fine. Just unwind to water everything and wind it back up again. Won't move it until it's time to store it for winter. Not a cheap unit but worth the $$$.

This cart is rugged, and is designed to last for many years. It was easy to put together. The 4 pneumatic tires make it a breeze to move it wherever you want it. Yes, this is somewhat on the expensive side, but well worth it. I do a lot of gardening and needed something that would easily go from one area to another. The reel is balanced and is easy to wind and rewind. Not one leak either!

Rolling the hose up is a pain. You can't go too fast because when you stop the hose droops loosly and you have to unroll it and start again. It's rolls OK if the tires have plenty of air. No steering. If you want to turn you have to tip it back and with 400 feet of hose on it that makes it a bit heavy. Not nearly as easy to use as it should be and waaaay overpriced.

I have to fill/change water in a stock tank a couple of times a week. This cart makes it easier to store, transport and rewind hose for each use. Now I can bring in the hose to thaw as needed. Much easier than carrying in the hose and having it all over the kitchen. Wheels roll well over yard and paths.

Doesn't leak. The rotational connection point is great. Save money buying the plastic reels that leak in one or two years. this is reasonable and works great.

My neighbor bought another brand, looked about the same for 80 dollars. The paint is already peeling, rusted, and leaks everywhere. This one sure looks like it is built to last. Only comment is if you store outside, take the brass hose connector off from the reel and completly dry it. then put back together with some silicone grease for next year.
